"I am really happy. In addition to friends and family, several strangers believed and contributed to my project ”, he says. “I got a good scholarship from the university (which covers 75% of the tuition), but, even so, I wouldn't be able to afford even the 1st year of graduation. Donations were essential ”, he completes.

Luis is one of 17 participants in the Crowdfunding Estudar Fora , a crowdfunding campaign by Fundação Estudar and the Benfeitoria website to help young people with high potential to study at the best universities in the world. Contributions can be made until July 15 (Tuesday).

n the case of Luis Fernando, the criterion of “high potential” is unquestionable: at the age of 9, he won his first medal in a scientific Olympics. Today, he has accumulated 36 prizes in national and international competitions. In the country, he passed the highly competitive entrance exams of the Military Engineering Institute (IME), Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), State University of Campinas (Unicamp), University of São Paulo (USP) and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) . Abroad, in addition to Yale, he won the University of New York , Cornell and Columbia.

“ I want to learn from the best professors in the field of physics so that one day I will be able to carry out my own scientific research. I dream of making some important discovery that contributes to the world ”, he plans. Anyone who wants to can still contribute to Luís Fernando's campaign.
